Newcastle United have reportedly rekindled their interest in Atalanta forward Charles De Ketelaere, with the 23-year-old emerging as a potential target for the Magpies.
According to Caught Offside, Newcastle are among several Premier League clubs monitoring the Belgian’s progress following an impressive start to the season. De Ketelaere, who has caught the attention of top-flight rivals including West Ham, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Manchester City, and Arsenal, was previously pursued by Newcastle in 2022, but the deal ultimately fell through. Despite that setback, it appears the Magpies remain keen and could make another attempt to sign him in 2025.
Atalanta, currently sitting at the top of Serie A, have reportedly set a £40 million price tag on the versatile forward. De Ketelaere’s ability to play as a striker and also as a right winger makes him an attractive option for Newcastle, who are eager to strengthen both areas of their squad.
The Belgian international’s performances this season have only increased his value, and with multiple Premier League clubs circling, it remains to be seen whether Newcastle will succeed in their pursuit in the near future.
