Dan Bardell has suggested that Ryan Kent could be an ideal addition for Leeds United as they seek to replace the firepower lost from their attacking lineup. The Whites, who saw key players like Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville depart in the summer after strong contributions last season, could benefit from Kent’s creativity, Bardell told MOT Leeds News.
“It feels like a Leeds-type signing, Ryan Kent,” Bardell said, highlighting the need for creative reinforcements. “They lost quite a few attacking players over the summer window and they’re lacking some creativity in those areas.”
Bardell pointed to Rutter’s performances at Brighton this season, acknowledging the gap his departure has left for Leeds. “Could Kent be someone who could offset that a little bit?” he added. “He’s good enough to play at the top end of the Championship you would think.”
Given Leeds’ relatively thin squad compared to last season, Bardell believes a deal for Kent could be worthwhile if the financial terms are favorable. “If the wages are right, then I think Kent would be a good pick-up for Leeds,” he concluded.
