Newcastle United’s Kieran Trippier is not expected back in action until after the upcoming international break, following an injury that has sidelined the 34-year-old since October 5. Trippier, who exited the match against Everton with an injury, was initially ruled out of the following game against Brighton, which ended in a surprising 1-0 loss for the Magpies. It now appears he’ll need more time to recover, according Daily Mail.
In an effort to expedite his recovery, Trippier has reportedly traveled to Dubai, marking his third visit to the Middle East for rehab this year. Meanwhile, Tino Livramento and Emil Krafth have provided cover in his absence.
Livramento, a £35 million signing from Southampton, is seen as the player with the greater long-term potential, though some fans are advocating for Krafth’s steady reliability. Notably, Newcastle has won 10 out of the 14 games Krafth has started in 2024, while Livramento has struggled to replicate his previous season’s form.
With both players offering dependable options, Newcastle can afford to wait until Trippier is fully fit. A possible return date could be the home fixture against West Ham United on November 25, just after the international break.
