Sandro Tonali’s agent has responded to recent media claims suggesting that the midfielder wants to leave Newcastle United, emphasizing that the player is happy at the club.
The rumors began circulating when Italian media outlets reported that Tonali had been relegated to a ‘reserve’ role at Newcastle. The situation escalated earlier this week, with Gazzetta dello Sport alleging that Tonali was dissatisfied with his current situation and was seeking a return to Serie A. The reports left many Newcastle United fans disheartened and concerned about the future of the 24-year-old.
However, Tonali’s agent, Giuseppe Riso, has swiftly moved to quash these rumors. In a message shared with renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on social media platform X, Riso reassured fans that there is no truth to the claims of Tonali’s unhappiness.
“Sandro is absolutely not considering a return to Serie A,” Riso stated. “He’s happy at Newcastle, happy to play in the best league in the world, and he’s an idol for #NUFC fans who’ve always supported Sandro in every moment.”
