Leeds United’s loan signing, Manor Solomon, has had a rocky start at Elland Road, leading to speculation about the early termination of his loan deal. The BBC’s Jonny Buchan raised the issue on the “Don’t Go To Bed Just Yet” podcast, suggesting that Leeds may consider sending the winger back to Tottenham Hotspur in January.
The summer transfer window saw Leeds welcoming several new players to strengthen their squad, particularly after losing key wide player Crysencio Summerville. Among the new arrivals was Solomon, who initially made a positive impression by providing an assist in a 2-0 victory over Hull City on his debut.
However, a hamstring injury sidelined him for four matches, and since then, he has not returned to the starting lineup. With Solomon’s impact falling short of expectations, Buchan highlighted the growing uncertainty surrounding his future at the club.
“You wonder with Solomon whether he’s going to be able to get that time, and then you question do you keep him? Or do you send him back?” Buchan said. “Then use that spot. I’m not saying they’re on the limit of their loans—they’re not—but do you use that pot that you’ve used money-wise to get someone else who can maybe have a bigger impact?”
