Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye has expressed his satisfaction with his current role under manager Sean Dyche, highlighting how the team’s philosophy aligns with his playing style and work ethic.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Ndiaye reflected on his career journey, noting that his experience at Marseille and Sheffield United—where he frequently operated as a second striker—prepared him well for the challenges at Everton.
“I feel like I’m suited to what the manager wants,” Ndiaye said. “From very early on in my career, I was told to do the hard work first and the rest will follow. I’ve stuck by that.”
Everton fans have been eager to see Ndiaye replicate the dynamic performances he delivered at Sheffield United, with past footage showcasing his ability to excel as a creative and goal-scoring threat. The Senegal international believes Dyche’s philosophy brings out the best in him.
“I think that’s the same kind of philosophy here – everyone works hard, and every player brings their own qualities and attributes to make it a full performance,” he explained. “You have to bring your own piece to it – for me, I can bring my skills, scoring goals, making assists, plus the hard work for each other.”
Ndiaye’s comments come as Everton continue to rebuild momentum under Dyche, with fans hopeful that the 23-year-old will become a pivotal figure in their campaign.
