Aaron Ramsey has shared that he nearly signed with Everton during his career, adding to the list of high-profile players who have considered a move to the Toffees.
The 33-year-old midfielder, who currently plays for Cardiff City in the Championship, reflected on his time at Arsenal, where he was hailed as one of the club’s standout performers.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Ramsey recounted his visit to former Everton manager David Moyes’s home. “I went to David Moyes’s house as well. He invited me around there. He was brilliant and very accommodating. It was a real moment for me to be in his living room and for him to go through the plans that he would have for me,” he said.
At the time, a move to Everton could have been a significant acquisition for the club, considering Ramsey’s reputation as one of the Premier League’s top attacking midfielders when fit. However, he is not the only notable name to have been close to joining the Toffees.
