Former manager Harry Redknapp suggested that Tottenham Hotspur’s current head coach, Ange Postecoglou, leans significantly on his coaching staff to implement his strategies on the training ground.
Redknapp, speaking on Tuesday morning, remarked, “I like him. He is not a coach. He doesn’t do any coaching, they tell me. He isn’t out there, he doesn’t actually do any coaching. I don’t know if that’s right, that’s what I have heard.”
Harry Redknapp’s comments highlight Postecoglou’s approach at Hotspur Way, where he seems to take on more of a managerial role rather than a hands-on coaching one. He has trusted his senior assistant coach, Matt Wells, along with assistants Mile Jedinak and Ryan Mason.
If Redknapp’s assertions hold true, it indicates a strong level of confidence from Postecoglou in his coaching team to lead on the pitch, allowing him to focus on broader managerial responsibilities.
