West Ham United are reportedly considering a move for PAOK striker Stefanos Tzimas, as the club looks to address its frontline issues. According to TBR Football, the Hammers have been closely monitoring the 18-year-old’s progress, following his impressive loan spell at FC Nürnberg in Germany’s Bundesliga 2. Tzimas has showcased remarkable scoring ability, netting five goals in his last four league games.
“Tzimas is attracting attention across Europe,” reports TBR Football, with sources suggesting that his finishing abilities have caught the eyes of clubs in both La Liga and Ligue 1. An insider revealed that West Ham sees the young Greek forward as a potential solution to their attacking woes, which have been exacerbated by the injury struggles of summer signing Niclas Fullkrug.
Fullkrug’s time at West Ham has been hindered by injuries since joining from Borussia Dortmund. He has managed just three appearances from the bench in the Premier League before missing six subsequent matches. A club source stated, “It’s been disappointing, as Fullkrug was expected to bring experience and depth. The injuries have forced the team to consider other options.”
West Ham’s potential interest in Tzimas could come with a price tag of around £18 million, according to sources close to the club. While the Hammers would ideally strengthen their squad in the January transfer window, a formal bid is expected in the summer of 2025 if they decide to pursue the Greek star further.
