West Ham consider goalkeeper move as Antonin Kinsky seeks loan exit from Tottenham

West Ham United are exploring options to strengthen their goalkeeping department as head coach Nuno Espirito Santo looks ahead to the January transfer window.

One player under consideration is Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky, who is understood to be seeking a loan move after limited opportunities in north London. The 22-year-old joined Spurs from Slavia Prague in January 2025 in a deal believed to be worth around £12.5m but has made only two first-team appearances this season.

Kinsky was expected to feature in domestic cup competitions but was overlooked in favour of first-choice goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario during Tottenham’s 2-1 defeat by Aston Villa on Sunday. Spurs are managed by Thomas Frank, under whom the Czech international has struggled for regular minutes.

BBC Sport understands that Kinsky has expressed a desire to leave Tottenham on loan in order to gain first-team football. West Ham and Wolves are among several Premier League clubs monitoring his situation, while Freiburg, Besiktas and Auxerre are also reported to be interested.

West Ham had previously shown interest in Al-Nassr goalkeeper Bento, but the Brazilian opted to join Genoa earlier this year. While Alphonse Areola has delivered some strong performances this season, the club is believed to be assessing long-term options in the position.

Regular playing time is seen as a key factor for Kinsky, who is yet to make his senior debut for the Czech Republic. He is understood to be hoping to boost his international prospects ahead of upcoming World Cup qualification matches.

Any move to the London Stadium could have implications for West Ham’s existing goalkeepers.

With the January window approaching, West Ham are expected to continue evaluating their options as they look to reinforce the squad for the second half of the season.
